Got it not that long ago, but it seems to work. no false alarms. installation was easy. Glad i'm not going to have to install new batteries!
No complaints about the smoke detectors. Haven't had a fire though, so hopefully I continue to not have complaints!
I purchased from USI because they were the only ones who made a smoke alarm with both ionization and photoelectric AND a carbon monoxide detector. I put these ionization/photoelectric detectors everywhere except our bedrooms. I put combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the bedrooms Since these are all hardwired, I have piece of mind that any issue anywhere in my home will alert us no matter where we are. There was an issue with my first order where I made a mistake and customer service did a fantastic job of fixing my mistake and getting the correct items out to me. I will recommend these detectors to my friends and extended family because they are first rate products and because of the excellent customer service.
I needed to replace the cheap smoke detectors in my house and did a lot of research before purchasing these. I'm happy to have the protection of BOTH sensors smoke and fire and the ease and savings of a ten year battery. I've installed three so far and they seem to be in perfect working order!
I am pleased with the product & think it will provide better protection than the detector it replaced.
