Easy install. Steam from the kitchen will set it off occasionally, so we may need to move it away from the sink a little.

January 26, 2021Do needed this Kitchen Smoke Alarm with special srnsors
We have three dogs and two of them are very sensitive to high-pitched sounds. With a basic Kidde Alarm we were constantly having to turn off the alarm and eventually remove it while baking or frying food. This alarm has only gone off once when I virtually broiled my garlic bread to a horrible black. Boy, can this alarm cook! And pups no longer terrorized throughout the evening meal prep. Love it.

I purchased this unit for just outside my kitchen along with several other units for the rest of my house. My old detector was due to be replaced anyway but would also go off all the time when cooking from the heat when opening the oven door or the slightest amount of smoke. I put the new one to the test last night and no false alarms this time. Highly recommended.
